Team DFX have signed Karl Muggeridge for the forthcoming World Superbike season. The tough Australian rider will be entering his fourth consecutive year with Honda, a factor which should shorten the development times needed for the new CBR1000RR. The team will be running a two-rider squad, with Russell Holland riding the second machine.

Daniele Carli: "The arrival of Karl Muggeridge puts our team at the sharp end of the toughest championship for production machine. The experience and talent of the Australian rider will allow us to carry on our long term relationship of esteem and mutual confidence with Honda."

Karl Muggeridge: "The offer from Team DFX pleased me enormously and it didn't take long to reach an agreement. I'll be staying with Honda so I'll be able to use my years of experience when setting up the new CBR1000RR. I've seen at close quarters the work done by Daniele Carli's team last season and I'm optimistic for the future. It's a new start for me and I hope to repay everyone who has had confidence in me with a great season at the highest level. In the press it was stated that Sergio Bertocchi will be the team manager. Just to clarify a couple of things here, this is not the case. Frankie Chili will be looking after me and my side of the Team where as Bertocchi will be taking care of the other side of the Garage which is managed under completely different funding but still in the same colours, with a young Aussie fella named Russel Holland. I've not met Russel yet nor seen him ride, but I'm sure we'll have a good season!"
